Men's Tennis Rolls at Day One of Dartmouth Invite

The Middlebury men's tennis team got off to a great start at the Dartmouth Invitational winning 6 of 7 matches.  Brantner Jones and Andrew Lebovitz lost a close one to Dartmouth's top team 8-6 after getting out to an early lead.  From there the rest of the day was all downhill!  Brantner and Andrew beat Williams's top team 8-5 after being down an early break and Alec Parower and Derrick Angle swept both matches by scores of 8-5 and 8-4.  At third doubles David Farah and Teddy Fitzgibbins won both matches by scores of 8-5 in each match.  Only one singles match was played as Middlebury's Zach Bruchmiller defeated Brandon Debot of Dartmouth 1-6,7-6, 1-0 (3).  Singles play begins Saturday with our top six playing both Williams and Dartmouth.  I was very happy with the way we played as some players took tests this morning and handled the travel adjustments very well.  Much of what we have been working on in practice showed in today's matches and I look forward to seeing how we respond tomorrow in singles.
