Happy New Year from Middlebury Men’s Tennis!

We want to begin by wishing our Middlebury Tennis Family a very happy new year! We hope your 2022 is off to a great start and look forward to sharing with you our excitement for the upcoming spring tennis season. We describe our return to campus for J-Term, release our 2022 schedule, and end with a freshman spotlight on our very own Neel Epstein!

Return to Campus

Our players will be arriving back to campus for J-Term this weekend and we are excited that their energy and enthusiasm will again be present. Our group continues to work hard during the developmental season and our senior captain class has continued to pave the way and set the tone. Another very special happening is that Andrew Mueller will be back from his study abroad experience in Spain. Although we are confident that Andrew enjoyed his time abroad, we are thrilled to have his passion for the game and our team back in the fold!

Andrew Mueller reportedly learned some Spanish-style
cooking techniques while in Spain last semester!

2022 Spring Schedule
Please click here to see our full spring match schedule. As a reminder, all times are listed in EST. We cannot wait to take on a challenging schedule and to test ourselves against some of the toughest competition in DIII and additional matches against non-DIII opponents as well. As always, our match schedule picks up steam on our spring break trip when we will be returning to Claremont, CA. Taco Man here we come! Also, we want to highlight two specific events we plan to host this spring.
  • April 16th Alumni Match Day - April 16th versus Williams will be our Alumni Match Day. We will plan to host an event for any alumni who return to watch us compete that day depending on current Covid protocols for our campus. Please let us know if you plan to attend!
  • April 30th and May 1st, Senior Weekend – We will plan to celebrate all of our seniors, including Associate Coach Bob Hansen, over the weekend and we will plan to host a dinner the evening of April 30th if possible depending on Covid protocols. Please let us know if you plan to attend!
